I recently visited Kansas, the Sunflower State, and that is what inspired me to make this sunflower birthday card. For the flower, I used Spellbinders Daisy Flower Topper dies, cut 3 out of yellow paper and tipped them with Jenni Bowlin malted milk ink. The flower center is cut from Spellbinders circles, and I scored in on my Scor-Pal. The background paper is from Basic Grey called Fiction and it is mounted on craft paper. The sentiment is from Paper Smooches. I made a fishtail from craft paper, stamped the sentiment, and put the flower together, staggering the petal layers. I put a piece of burlap behind it, then added a little bow from May Arts twine, natural. Be Good! Debbie
I made this theater theme welcome sign for a friend who is moving into an apartment in the Theater District. I used a 12 x 12 shadow box frame from Michaels. The paper is Karen Foster Performance Collage. I cut the letters with my Cricut, using the Cricut Fonts Cartridge. The lights and comedy/drama masks are from the Karen Foster sticker set, Show Business. The tickets are cut from Karen Foster Theater Ticket paper. The Hanna theater sign I purchased from Scrap Your Trip. I used dimensional adhesive to attach the letters, and I cut out the stickers and used the same to attach them. Be good! Debbie
My Step-daughter was married this week and I wanted to make a cute wedding card for them. They live in the country and her new husband wears cowboy hats and boots, so I wanted to include that in the card. The paper is Karen Foster’s Cowgirl Horses and the die cut hats and horseshoe are from Quickkutz. They were really tickled with it! “Be Good!” Debbie
This is my Sister and I. (I am the older one.) She is a wonderful Sister, my best friend, supporter, encourager, mentor, teacher, etc. etc! I am so proud of her as she has been named a Design Team member for Cut at Home. Today is the first project that she has posted as a member of the team, and it is awesome! You can find it here: http://ucutathome.com/blog/2013/09/10/graphic-45-steampunk-spells-halloween-banner/
I am so blessed to have her for a Sister. Good Luck Cheryl!

My Mother was a teacher and several family members are teachers, so I wanted to do a reading journal for a Children’s Book Club. I love the bookworm that Patrick Dunnegan designed for Clearly Digi Stamps! It is in the Time For School set. The worm is so adorable and it was my inspiration. The bookworm is Copic colored with G 02 and G 05, and his wrinkles are G 17. The book is R 27 and R 29. The pages of the book are colored with B 0000. I used a black gel pen to outline his glasses and used Glossy Accents for the lenses. His bow is the Tiny Bow from Memory Box. I used a journal I purchased at a Craft Store. I used Memory Box Parker Lowercase for the letters, and added ribbon from Recollections. Then I made a companion bookmark. I just made our friend Bookworm smaller, and used floss for his bow. I placed him on Spellbinders Large Labels that was edged with Memento Lady Bug. The book club name plate was die cut with Spellbinders Big Scalloped Rectangles,(it was also edged with Lady Bug) and the apple is a W Plus 9 die. I am entering it in The Ribbon Carousel Blog Challenge #85. Hope you enjoy the little bookworm. “Be Good!” Debbie
Hi there, Challenge #6 by ClearlyiStamp is called Thank You! The project can be a thank you card, a thank you present….anything that says Thank You!!
I chose the stamp set called “Everyday Jargon”. This is the 100th Anniversary of the Ball Mason jars and they have been very popular everywhere, so that is how I chose this cute stamp set. What better way to say “Thank You” than a Ball jar filled with candy corn! The candy corn was colored with Copic markers, YR 04, YR 06, YR 07, YR 08, and the white with COO. The jar was colored with BOOOO and the lid with Y28. I used a doily, and the black fishtail is embossed with the Crafts Too embossing folder “Spots”. I added a Trendy Twine bow to the top. I just had to display it with a Ball jar filled with my favorite candy corn!
Come play with us! Any type of crafty project is allowed as long as it meets the theme. The Challenge dates are : Aug 30 (10 am) – Sept 12 (11 pm) Central Times The winner of the Challenge gets to pick any 3 stamps that the Design Team used. If you use a CDS stamp you will be entered into the drawing twice. There will also be a Top 3 award! I can’t wait to see what you make! “Be good!” Debbie
These ladies are my inspiration in life, my Mother and Grandmother. They are both in Heaven now, but left me with a legacy of love, faith, and craftiness. They always told each other and my sister and I to “Be Good”.
