Christmas in July – Whimsie Doodles Sitting Elfie

I’ve been thinking about Christmas lately, not longing for cold or snow (especially after last winter), but thinking of ideas for cards for this year.  The Elf on the Shelf is very popular around here, so I thought it would be fun to make an elf card.  This digi stamp from Whimsie Doodles is sooo cute!  I colored the elf with R08, R14, E00, E01, E33, and E35.   The paper is from Recollections, and the sentiment from Hero Arts.  I cut the tags using My Favorite Things Fishtail Flags and  I used a Candi Dot to embellish.  I used my white gelly roll pen to make the same star shape as on the red dots on the paper.  Have a great day!  “Be Good!”  Debbie

Chalkboard Many Wishes by Penny Black

Hi everyone!  We have a Grandson getting married today, so I wanted to do a special card for him and his new Bride.  Their invitation was in chalkboard style, so I wanted to make a card that reflected the same.  I love the sentiment on this Penny Black stamp called Chalkboard Many Wishes.  It is really easy to use because the stamp is designed to stamp the chalkboard, not the writing.  My sister was so sweet to help me, and we tried several inks to make it look the best.  Memento tuxedo black stamped the best image on the ivory paper I used.  I lined it with ivory paper and then placed it on black paper dry embossed with  a floral paisley pattern embossing folder by Sizzix called Tropical Paisley.  The ribbon is from May Arts and I colored it ivory with my Copic maker.  The little blue flower trim was purchased at a fabric store and colored with Copics.  The heart trinket pin is from Maya Road.  Here is the invitation along side the finished card:

Chris and Molly, we wish you a lifetime of love and happiness together!  Happy Wedding Day!  XOXOXO  “Be Good!”  Debbie

You Can Never Have Too Much Happy Teen Card

I have had these smiley face stickers for some time, and decided they would make a great teen or kids card for OWH!  Operation Write Home is an organization that provides handmade cards to soldiers who are deployed over seas.  The soldiers can send these cards to their family members.  The paper and sentiment are from  my stash!  Have a great day!  “Be Good!”  Debbie
