Hi everyone! I live in Perrysburg, Ohio, a suburb of Toledo. Today is Perrysburg’s 200th Birthday and there are lots of celebrations starting today and throughout the year. Here is a link that tells you a little about the great history of our town! So in honor of the birthday celebration, here are the cards I made:
For this card, I used my Cricut to cut out the numbers. I took my own photographs of the Commodore Perry Monument downtown, and of Fort Meigs, and changed them to black and white on my computer.
For these cards, I used a Jillian Vance Ohio die and other word dies that I have.
Our downtown area is very quaint, and this die from Taylored Expressions was perfect to use! The twine is from Trendy Twine.
This is an old 1816 map of Perrysburg used courtesy of the W.L. Clements Library, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
We have many beautiful Historic homes in our city, and this stamp from Stampers Best reminded me of them.
A huge parade is planned for July 2nd! This is a Taylored Expressions die.
So, let the party begin! Happy Birthday Perrysburg! “Be Good!” Debbie
A cute winter themed Christmas card for you today! The die set is from A Jillian Vance called Antique Sled. The set includes the sled, greenery and bow. I cut the sled from kraft paper and shaded it a bit with Memento Toffee Crunch ink. I shaded the greenery with Northern Pine. The bow was cut from one of the background papers which are from Crate Paper (Bundled Up.) I used dimensional adhesive to pop the sled a bit and added a few snowflake sequins. Let it snow! (maybe not just yet though, but it is falling on my blog!) “Be Good!” Debbie
Santa Claus is coming to town! My card today features the Santa Claus Die Set from A Jillian Vance Design Studios. I love this Santa, so happy and cute! You can do him plain or as a shaker, which I have done here. I cut him out in white and I used my Copic markers to color his face. The background paper is from Recollections and is double sided, I used the reverse of the Ho Ho Ho for the hat. I used some shimmery paper for his hat trim and pom pom. The twine is from May Arts, and sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. You better “Be Good” because he is coming soon!! Debbie
