Happy Mother’s Day!

My Mom and Grandmothers are both in heaven now and I miss them dearly, but I am so thankful for their legacy of love and faith.  (and craftiness too, they were all very crafty!!)  Here are my Mother’s Day cards for this year:

Christmas Card Preview – Three Wisemen by Crafter’s Companion

Hi,  Today is the start of my Christmas Card Preview!  I will try to post a Christmas card every couple of days until the big day!  This card uses the Three Wisemen Die from Crafter’s Companion.  I used gold paper for the wisemen and for the background.  The background paper is from Paper Studio.  The sentiment is from Penny Black.  I just added a few rhinestones to embellish the kings and their gifts to the Baby Jesus!  “Be Good!”  Debbie

Thinking of You Card Using Penny Black Iris die

I have a friend from Church who is seriously ill, and I try to send her cards to let her know we are thinking of her.  This card uses the Penny Black Iris die.  I cut it once in purple and once in green, and shaded the edges of the flowers and stem with Memento Sweet Plum and  Northern Pine.  I cut the flowers  from the purple die cut and glued it onto the green piece that I had cut.  I added a pearl for the center and used a corner punch I had for the background edges.  The sentiment is from the Loving Messages set from Stampendous and I heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.  When I attached the flower, I used a bit of dimensional adhesive to give it a little pop.   Have a great day! “Be Good!”  Debbie

Penny Black Rose for Valentine’s Day

I love this Rose die from Penny Black.  To make this card, I used the die, a Darice Oblong Doily embossing folder and the Love You die from Technique Tuesday.  I embossed  white paper with the doily folder, and then used my corner punch to round the edges.  I cut 2 roses, one with green and one with pink paper.  I used Memento inks, Rose Bud and Northern Pine to add some color to the rose and the stem.  I cut the flower only from the pink and attached over tit he green paper with the stem, and used dimensional adhesive to attach the rose to the card.   I cut the word love from the love you that I cut with the Technique Tuesday die and attached it to the card.  I think this will make a great Valentine’s Day card, although it could be used for many other occasions too!  Stay tuned for more Valentines!  “Be Good!”  Debbie

Penny Black Sparkle String Card

IMG_6828 Hi everyone!

When I saw the Sparkle String die by Penny Black, I just loved it!!  For my card today, I cut 3 sparkle strings, one in silver, and one each of green and red, using Christmas Foil paper from American Crafts. The paper has a little texture to it, which really adds to the design.  I cut the bulbs off of the red and green strings, and just glued them over the top of the silver bulbs, alternating colors.  I used a little dimensional adhesive to pop the bulbs, and added a little rhinestone for extra sparkle.  The sentiment is from My Favorite Things, and is stamped in silver Delicata ink.  I also added a little rhinestone in the scrolling.  It is an easy card to make, and I am so thrilled with the results. This is my favorite card so far!   Get your sparkle on!   “Be Good!”  Debbie

Chalkboard Many Wishes by Penny Black

Hi everyone!  We have a Grandson getting married today, so I wanted to do a special card for him and his new Bride.  Their invitation was in chalkboard style, so I wanted to make a card that reflected the same.  I love the sentiment on this Penny Black stamp called Chalkboard Many Wishes.  It is really easy to use because the stamp is designed to stamp the chalkboard, not the writing.  My sister was so sweet to help me, and we tried several inks to make it look the best.  Memento tuxedo black stamped the best image on the ivory paper I used.  I lined it with ivory paper and then placed it on black paper dry embossed with  a floral paisley pattern embossing folder by Sizzix called Tropical Paisley.  The ribbon is from May Arts and I colored it ivory with my Copic maker.  The little blue flower trim was purchased at a fabric store and colored with Copics.  The heart trinket pin is from Maya Road.  Here is the invitation along side the finished card:

Chris and Molly, we wish you a lifetime of love and happiness together!  Happy Wedding Day!  XOXOXO  “Be Good!”  Debbie
