Hello and Happy Halloween! Here are some of my cards for this year:
The cards on the left use dies from Mama Elephant, the witches boots and coffin are from Taylored Expressions, the pumpkin die is from Jillian Vance, the cat is cute paper from Bazzill, the ghosts on the top and middle left are from Lil Inkers, and the bottom left ghost is a stamp from Hero Arts.
And here are some cute treat boxes I made from dies by Taylored Expressions:
Hope you have a fun Halloween! Trick or Treat! “Be Good!” Debbie
I think that we are all reeling from the recent tragedies in our world: hurricanes, earthquakes, and terrorism/mass shootings. It is hard to make sense and I think it helps us to do something to try and help others. I got an email from Sweet Stamp Shop, and they have a way that cardmakers can help people in the Vegas tragedy. You can make cards for victims, first responders, and hospital workers. I can’t find a way to share the email yet, but if you comment with your email address, I will send you a link if you are interested in participating. You must use their digital image and there are several rules to follow in making the cards. Here is one version of card that I am doing:Prayers to all who are suffering and heartfelt thanks to all the “helpers!” Viva Las Vegas ! “Be Good!” Debbie
Hi all! It’s hard to believe that Summer is over! It seems like it went really quickly! But now that Fall is fast approaching, it’s time for the Fall Coffee Lovers Bloghop. Each of the four seasons is celebrated in coffee, tea, and hot cocoa!I’m thinking Halloween for this one, so here is my card:
This cute vampire would rather drink coffee than anything else for Halloween! The die set is Mama Elephant for the vampire called favor bag accessory Halloween, and the Taylored Expressions joe to go die for the cup. I used kind of shimmery paper that I had for his face and hand, to give him a bit of an eerie look. I had the background paper in my stash and printed out the sentiment on my computer. Please check out the other wonderful cards on the bloghop, and there are great prizes too!! Thanks to all the sponsors and to Amy Tsuruta, who always does a fabulous job as the Co-Hostess! “Be Good!” Debbie
Hello, We have a Great-Granddaughter who is a super basketball player! She is on her high school team, and even though she is a sophomore, plays junior varsity and even varsity sometimes. She just loves basketball! So this is the card I made for her birthday:
The basketball is just a circle cut, and I drew the black lines, and then used an embossing folder to give it some texture. I tied knots in twine, to make the net for the hoop and printed up the sentiment from my computer. I know that she will love it! Happy Birthday Avery! “Be Good!” Debbie
Hi, Happy Birthday to Taylored Expressions! They are having a big celebration for their 9th birthday! The Taylored Expressions 9th Birthday Sketch Challenge! They chose a sketch and are challenging card makers to use it as inspiration for their own cards.
I chose to make a card for the people affected by Hurricane Harvey. My husband’s daughter lives in Houston. While she was safe from the flooding, she is sad for her city and for Texas, as we all are. My card today is a dedication to those suffering, and to the volunteers who are helping.
I used the Taylored Expression banner stacklets 1 and the sentiment is from the set called shade tree scripture. I had the sticker in my stash and it was perfect! I intend to send her the card as soon as mail is established that she can pass on to a friend or another person who is in need. If you would like to donate to victims of Hurricane Harvey, here is a link to local Houston charities that she has provided https://www.houstoniamag.com/articles/2017/8/29/donate-to-these-local-houston-charities, there is also the JJ Watt relief fund, Samaritan’s Purse, and of course The American Red Cross. “Be Good!” Debbie
Hi everyone! Today is the long awaited Solar Eclipse! Where I live is not in the path of totality, but we will still get to see the partial eclipse. So, in honor of the event, I made this card:
I used gold paper and Spellbinders crown circles to cut the sun, and used another circle to cut the moon in black. I found the sentiment on the internet and printed it off on my computer. I used a little gold Delicatta ink and sponged it on the blue paper for some extra shimmer. Enjoy today and please be careful! We have one pair of glasses for my husband, and I am going to make a cereal box viewer that my sister found on the NASA website. You can find the link to the cereal box viewer here: https://eclipse2017.nasa.gov/sites/default/files/EclipseCerealBoxViewer.pdf

One of my favorite things to do is to make fun cards, especially for family ! Here are two that I made recently:
This is a birthday card for my husband, who has always wanted a black Mercedes! It doesn’t photograph the best because it is on black shiny paper, but I thought it turned out cute. Continue reading
